Initial stage of contact
If you wish to start your first contact with
a business via e-mail, even if no restrictions are enforced it is
advisable to follow the following points:
1
1. Send an e-mail to inform the consignee of
your commercial activity and the reason for your interest: by so doing
you will be able to deal with the most suitable person for your request
and thus gain a first outline of acquired data. |
2
Always request previous authorisation before
attaching files and documentation to the electronic mail or to send
promotional messages. |
3
It is good practice to always include at the
bottom of your e-mail communications the name of your business addresses
and offices to be contacted when requesting additional information
and also possible legislative directives regarding applicable rules
(national or European Community) regarding modality for treatment
of data and rights of consignee.
4
Specify in every communication the procedure
for the removal of addresses from your lists. |
Although this procedure might slow down your marketing campaign, this
conduct is more appropriate and useful to your final aim. |
If you have a web address and an up-dated site, it is good practice
to include it in your first e-mail so as to combine the supply of
information and to present yourself as a possible valuable partner;
or include specific link web of one of your products supplying additional
information and thus increase the interest of potential customers. |
